Red Gum Chopping Board

This chopping board is built from solid Red Gum in an edge-grain construction, 25mm thick, with the deep crimson-to-chocolate colouring that makes this Australian hardwood unmistakable. Edge grain gives you the best of both worlds: a hard, stable surface that resists warping and shrugs off daily use, while staying kind to your knife edges.

A hand-routed juice groove runs the perimeter to catch carving juices and keep your bench clean. Recessed finger holes can be cut into the sides for a secure, comfortable lift, even with wet hands. And because every board is made by hand in our Melbourne workshop, you can add a personal engraving: a name, a date, a kitchen's worth of character. No two pieces of Red Gum are alike, so the grain you receive is yours and yours alone.
